Top issues during term (3)(General)
city manager resignation
There may be short-term costs for interim leadership, recruitment, and transition work, but the bigger risk is delayed projects or budget decisions while the city finds a replacement.
municipal debt issuance
That’s $14.72 million in debt-like obligations that Rockport taxpayers will ultimately cover through city finances, without a direct vote on the borrowing.
new fishing pier opening
It could give a small boost to local bait shops, restaurants, and tourism by drawing anglers and visitors to the waterfront.
